RV Cabinet Remodel On Our Class B Van Motorhome

We are RV Van Life Newbies and well... here is our Top 2 RV cabinet renovation lessons

1- When dealing with a vintage class B RV motor-home, which is custom made, do not expect anything to be standard... keep multiple tools around and don't be afraid to ask for help.

2- Get the proper tools, which should go without saying, but sometimes as Newbies we forget that this is not a house that we are renovating... it is on wheels with has an actually motor! Things are just not the same.

For the other Roadtrek owners out there, who also want to get rid of their TV cabinet, watch out... things are not what they appear behind that cabinet. You'll see in our video, below and continue reading for more details on our lessons.

Coming back to lesson 1- having bought a 1999 Roadtrek- we knew that it would be a BIG project. Although we were not necessarily ready for it, our rig was really well made... with lots of glue, DIFFERENT TYPES OF SCREWS- silicone etc...

If you are going to gut your RV- we expect it to take quite a bit longer than you originally thought!!

Advise: If you want to reuse your cabinets... don't. After taking apart that back cabinet, there was no way we could recycle it. If you are going to pull out anything, keep in mind that; it way not be usable.

Lesson 2; as we mentioned in the video, get the proper tools. We found a few tools we needed by purchasing them second hand and borrowing a few.

We didn't want to bust our budget with purchasing new tools..  but you so NEED them.

This is only a warning to Newbies from now semi-Newbies!
